IFabric Partners with GermstopSQ for New Antimicrobial Coating

iFabric Corp's subsidiary, Intelligent Fabric Technologies (North America) Inc. (IFTNA), has joined forces with GermstopSQ Inc. to create a novel antimicrobial coating for hard surfaces. This development aims at providing long-lasting antimicrobial effects for commonly touched surfaces, integrating PROTX2®. This initiative marks IFTNA's expansion beyond textiles, targeting various sectors including hospitals, public transport, and retail spaces.

This collaboration will see Germstop handling formulation and manufacturing, while IFTNA takes charge of branding, commercialization, and market development across North America. There's potential for global expansion, pending regulatory clearances. The new coating addresses an untapped market opportunity for persistent antimicrobial surface protection, adding to existing hygiene protocols.

President Giancarlo Beevis believes in the vast potential of this technology, emphasizing IFTNA's established expertise in antimicrobial textiles.
