Implenia Acquires Zigmo Engineering to Enhance Capabilities
On 29 May 2026, Implenia AG signed an agreement to acquire Zigmo Engineering, a German structural engineering firm. The acquisition, which will be finalized by 13 July 2026, aims to enhance Implenia's engineering and planning capabilities. Zigmo, based in Frankenthal, has over 70 employees across five locations in Germany.
This acquisition complements Implenia's Service Solutions division and strengthens its position in the German and Swiss markets. Zigmo excels in BIM-supported engineering and complies with significant legislation such as the Water Resources Act.
Jens Vollmar, CEO of Implenia, highlighted the strategic aim to expand in high-margin areas of the value chain. Frank Hüther, former owner of Zigmo, emphasized the shared focus on digitalization and early project involvement as key opportunities for growth within Implenia.
