Cham Swiss Properties Expands Housing Project in Winterthur

Cham Swiss Properties revealed revisions to their ‘Rocket & Tigerli’ project in Winterthur's Lokstadt district, replacing a planned hotel with additional apartments. Thirty percent of the new units will be affordable, addressing the housing shortage in the area. The municipality expects legal proceedings for the building permit to conclude by 2026.

Initially designed with timber hybrid construction, the 100-meter skyscraper will instead use alternative materials with a similar ecological footprint. Retail and gastronomy spaces will replace the automated hotel check-in, and the top floor will feature a public viewing area. Completion of the project is anticipated by 2030.
