Paul Chan Highlights Hong Kong’s Strategic Growth at WEF in Davos
Paul Chan, the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong, concluded his visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. During the meeting, themed "A Spirit of Dialogue", Chan emphasized Hong Kong’s advancements in finance, trade, and innovation. He highlighted the city's role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as key to technological and financial innovation.
At the Davos-Caixin CEO Luncheon, Chan discussed Hong Kong's technological breakthroughs and their impact on economic growth. He also addressed China's development and international relations. He engaged with global leaders on economic resilience and bilateral collaboration with Cambodia and the UAE.
Chan also shared strategies for Hong Kong's decarbonization efforts, promoting innovations like sustainable transport and green finance through initiatives like tokenised green bonds.
