Riga to Host Northern Europe's Leading Deep Tech Conference "Deep Tech Atelier 2026"
Applications are open for Deep Tech Atelier 2026, Northern Europe's top conference for science-based innovation, in Riga on May 14-15. This eighth edition expects over 2,000 participants from more than 60 countries, including scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors. The event aims to strengthen Europe's deep tech ecosystem and boost the commercialisation of research-driven innovation.
Latvia's Minister of Economics, Viktors Valainis, highlighted deep tech as vital for Latvia's future economy. The 2026 programme will focus on medical and defence innovations, addressing healthcare accessibility and security enhancement through AI and robotics. The event will feature over 100 international speakers, an innovation EXPO, and a startup pitch competition.
The conference is organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and supported by European Union projects. In 2025, it attracted over 2,000 participants from 62 countries.
