IPEC Hosts NPO Standards Summit, Proposes International Standards

The NPO Standards Industry Summit, co-hosted by IPEC and OIF, took place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The event convened experts and industry leaders from major global companies including Huawei, Tencent, and Broadcom to discuss the evolution of NPO and its international standards. A consensus was reached to establish standards that will drive industry upgrades and the commercial expansion of NPO technology.

Dr. Zhao Wenyu of CAICT highlighted NPO's potential, citing its energy efficiency and compatibility with existing systems. This positions NPO as a key solution in expanding SuperPoDs and evolving optical networks. Huawei demonstrated a 7.2T NPO product displaying high bandwidth and reliability.

Exhibitions during the summit featured the latest NPO innovations from China, the US, and Japan, signaling a strong commercial maturity in the industry. These developments bolster industry confidence and aim to foster a thriving NPO ecosystem internationally.
