Ameriprise Financial Acquires Increased Stake in Irish Residential Properties REIT

Irish Residential Properties REIT plc (IRES) has announced a significant change in its shareholder structure. Ameriprise Financial, Inc., based in Minneapolis, USA, has increased its stake in IRES. The transaction involved the acquisition of voting rights, raising Ameriprise's holding from 3.241% to 4.003% of the total voting rights as of March 20, 2025.

This increase in holdings marks Ameriprise Financial as a more influential stakeholder in the company. The notification was officially communicated to Irish Residential Properties and the Central Bank of Ireland by March 24, 2025.

Ameriprise's investment arm, Thames River Capital LLP, holds the majority of the voting rights, at 3.807%. This reflects the strategic financial maneuvers within the group's subsidiaries to consolidate their position in the Irish real estate market.
