IRES REIT Announces Board Changes

Irish Residential Properties REIT plc (IRES) has announced board changes with the appointment of Gary Britton and Shruthi Chindalur as Independent Non-Executive Directors. These appointments follow a formal selection process and are subject to shareholder approval at the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 28. Concurrently, Joan Garahy, Richard Nesbitt, and Amy Freedman will not seek re-election and plan to retire from their positions.

In addition, Tom Kavanagh will be the new Senior Independent Director, while Denise Turner will become Chair of the Remuneration Committee. IRES Chairman Hugh Scott-Barrett acknowledged the contributions of departing members and expressed optimism about the new appointees. Britton brings commercial and governance expertise from his previous roles in major corporations, while Chindalur’s technology background complements the board's existing skills.
