Irving Resources Finds Promising Gold-Rich Silica at Omui, Japan
Irving Resources Inc. has reported a significant discovery from its Omui Mining License in Japan. The company's initial shallow angle diamond core hole, labeled 24OMI-001, revealed a 101.1-meter interval rich in gold and silver with 1.14 gpt Au and 16.0 gpt Ag alongside 84% silica content. This finding indicates potential for significant expansion of gold-rich silica near the surface.
The project, in collaboration with JX Advanced Metals Corporation, aims to transform the Omu site into a producer of gold-bearing silica smelter flux. Plans for four additional drill holes are set for later in 2025 to expand the findings at Omui.
Concurrently, the joint venture at East Yamagano, involving Newmont and Sumitomo, advances with diamond drilling activities. Although the hole 24SY-002 showed lower grades compared to previous findings, exploration continues with new drills underway.
