Nahverkehr Schwerin Enhances IT Infrastructure with IVU Solutions

Nahverkehr Schwerin GmbH (NVS) is upgrading its IT system and vehicle technology using IVU Traffic Technologies AG solutions. Previously utilizing IVU.suite for planning and operations, NVS will now expand its system with new on-board computers, a web-based control centre, digital device management, and mobile applications. This upgrade will optimize their planning processes and enhance their technical framework.

NVS plans to install new on-board computers and a central back-end system in all 44 buses and 30 trams. This will ensure seamless connectivity with the control centre and streamline operations. The update also includes an improved computer-aided operation control system for traffic management. Thomas Schlüter, Managing Director of NVS, highlighted the importance of digitalisation for the future of bus and tram operations.

Bastian Dittbrenner from IVU Traffic Technologies AG expressed satisfaction with the partnership, emphasizing that a joint system platform will lead to more efficient processes while accommodating both bus and tram requirements.
