IVU Traffic Technologies AG Secures Contract for BVG Depot Management

IVU Traffic Technologies AG has been awarded the contract to support the digitalisation of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe's (BVG) new electric bus depots. As the largest local transport operator in Germany, BVG transports over a billion passengers annually across Berlin. The recent focus on electrifying its bus fleet signifies BVG's commitment to sustainable transport solutions.

New depots in Marienfelde and Treptow-Köpenick will benefit from the IVU.suite depot management system. This system aims to streamline operations by integrating charging and load management for the bus fleet. It facilitates communication between dispatch, maintenance, and drivers by automating processes and providing up-to-date operational information.

Dr Hanna Schachel, Head of the Public Transport Division at IVU, expressed enthusiasm for bolstering the partnership with BVG. The implementation of this digital system aims to support the expansion of Berlin's electric bus services effectively.
