Jackery's Environmental Partnership Yields Tangible Results
Jackery, in collaboration with Greenspark, has achieved significant environmental milestones. Since their partnership began, 66,096 mangrove trees have been planted in Kenya, aiding carbon absorption, coastal protection, and biodiversity. This reforestation effort, equivalent to 37.24 football pitches, has the potential to sequester 608 tonnes of CO₂ annually and restore 26.438 hectares of forest.
Besides environmental gains, the initiative supports social development. For every 10,000 trees planted, around 20 days of fair employment are created, bolstering local economic resilience. Jackery's strategy includes additional projects like the Plastic Bank, which combats marine pollution, and the Improved Cook Stoves initiative in Malawi, which reduces wood usage and CO₂ emissions while improving health.
