Jaguar Health Meets Conditions for $2 Million Payment from Future Pak
Jaguar Health has announced it has fulfilled the conditions required to receive a $2 million holdback payment from Future Pak. This follows the company's U.S. licensing agreement with Future Pak for Mytesi and Canalevia-CA1. Earlier this year, Jaguar received an upfront payment of $16 million as part of this non-dilutive capital deal.
The agreement designates Future Pak as the exclusive marketer of Mytesi, a prescription drug for noninfectious diarrhea in HIV/AIDS patients, and Canalevia-CA1, for treating chemotherapy-induced diarrhea in dogs. Jaguar may receive an additional $17 million in milestone and future payments as per the agreement's terms.
Jaguar continues to focus on its global development program for crofelemer, particularly for pediatric intestinal failure conditions such as MVID and SBS-IF. Recent studies show promising reductions in parenteral support needs in patients using crofelemer therapy.
