Jaguar Mining Initiates Directional Drilling at Pilar Gold Mine

Jaguar Mining Inc. has commenced a directional drilling program at its Pilar gold mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The initiative involves drilling 5,000 metres across three mineralized zones beneath the current mine workings extending to 1.1 km depth. This drilling is part of a broader five-year exploration involving 227,200 metres of drilling. The goal is to extend the mine's life beyond its current projection of eight years.

The program involves three key zones: BA, LPA, and BF. The aim is to expand mineral resource potential at depth. CEO Luis Albano Tondo emphasized the significance of increasing resource potential to secure long-term growth strategies. The Pilar mine, a key player in Jaguar's production with over 40,000 ounces in 2025, is expected to maintain similar output in 2026.

Current drilling results have shown encouraging signs, suggesting increased grade and mineral width at depth. This supports Jaguar's strategy of transforming exploration targets into formal mineral resources. Drilling is set to continue for the next 10-12 months.
