Julius Baer to Establish New Branch in Lisbon

Julius Baer Group Ltd. is set to enhance its European footprint by opening a new branch in Lisbon, Portugal. Scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025, this expansion follows regulatory approvals. The new office, located at Avenida da Liberdade 196, aims to serve ultra-high and high-net-worth clients with a locally-based team.

Julius Baer's European presence already includes cities like Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona, and Milan. In 2019, a senior team was positioned in Madrid to develop the Portuguese market, led by José Maria Cazal-Ribeiro. This existing team will move to the Lisbon branch in early 2026, maintaining continuity in leadership.

Carlos Recoder, co-head of Region Western Markets, expressed excitement over the Lisbon expansion, emphasizing the company's commitment to the promising Portuguese market and its robust position as a leading wealth manager in Europe.
