Kalo Gold Extends Surface Gold Mineralization at Vatu Aurum Project
Kalo Gold Corp has announced an extension of surface gold mineralization at Wainikoro, part of the Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji, now covering 4.3 kilometers. This expansion is based on a sample returning 616 detectORE™ Units, indicating ~0.62 g/t Au, found 1.8 km southwest of previous results. Past assays in the corridor have yielded up to 8.78 g/t Au and 108 g/t Ag.
Exploration activities are ongoing, with field crews carrying out additional prospecting. The company plans to begin drilling at Wainikoro in January 2027. The CEO emphasized the importance of completed IP, CSAMT, and gravity surveys in refining drill targets. A stock option grant to a consultant was also disclosed, involving 500,000 shares at $0.185 each.
