Karbon-X Partners with Fundación BioHerencia for Sur del Meta REDD+ Project

Karbon-X Corp. has formalized a strategic partnership with Fundación BioHerencia, a landowner participating in the Sur del Meta REDD+ project in Colombia. This collaboration aims to integrate biodiversity conservation into the project by utilizing ecological data for better project design. The partnership includes a framework to incorporate ecological data into the project's Measurement, Reporting, and Verification systems.

BioHerencia, which owns the Harpy Eagle Nature Reserve, will leverage its conservation experience to enrich the project. The reserve, home to tropical rainforests and the harpy eagle, symbolizes the project’s dual goals of forest conservation and biodiversity protection.

Karbon-X will align this biodiversity component with carbon accounting processes. The initiative supports transparent carbon markets and responds to the expectations of buyers. Karbon-X aims for measurable and verifiable outcomes by enhancing the project's biodiversity data integration.
