Katjes International Plans to Sell Stake in CPK
Katjes International GmbH & Co. KG intends to sell its 23% stake in the French confectionery company CPK this year. Eurazeo, CPK's majority owner, is in exclusive talks with a European holding company affiliated with Ferrara Candy Co., a subsidiary of Ferrero Group.
The transaction, expected to close in Q4 2025, is pending approval from competition authorities and union consultations. If finalized, Katjes anticipates proceeds of up to €80 million. This move is part of Katjes' strategy to grow through acquisitions and reinvest in promising brands.
CPK manages famous brands like Lutti and Carambar and operates three production sites in France. Katjes Managing Partner Tobias Bachmüller views this transaction as a step forward for the brands within the CPK portfolio.
