Kering has announced a significant development involving Gucci and L'Oréal, as they enter into a 50-year exclusive beauty license agreement, one year ahead of schedule. This agreement aligns with the Beauty and Wellness alliance formed between Kering and L'Oréal in October 2025.

The early license transition follows an agreement between Gucci and Coty to advance the end date of their existing beauty license agreement, originally set to expire in 2028. The new partnership with L'Oréal will begin in mid-2027, pending regulatory approvals.

The collaboration aims to leverage Gucci's brand appeal and L'Oréal's beauty expertise to tap into growth opportunities worldwide. Coty will receive around $400 million for the early termination, with payments spread over 2026 and 2027.
