Komax Group Reports Increased Order Intake in Late 2024
The Komax Group, despite challenging market conditions in 2024, recorded a significant increase in order intake during the second half of the year. Overall, the group achieved a 14% increase in orders from the first six months, culminating in a total order intake of CHF 577.2 million, despite a significant 15.9% drop compared to 2023.
This upswing occurred primarily in Europe and Asia, where investment was initially sluggish due to surplus capacity in the automotive sector and global uncertainties. However, the last six months of 2024 saw an order surge, exceeding the best month of the first half's performance.
Revenues for 2024 reached approximately CHF 630 million, outperforming the order intake due to a strong opening position. Although revenues fell 16% from the previous year, this was an improvement over the projected 20% decline. The group anticipates a modestly positive EBIT, having implemented extensive cost-cutting measures.
