U.S. Tariff Exemption Secured for Kontron Group Products

Kontron AG, a leader in IoT and Embedded Computer Technology, has announced that its products will remain exempt from a new 15% tariff imposed on the European Union by the U.S. This exemption is underpinned by Kontron's strategic presence with subsidiaries and production facilities in the USA and Canada. Approximately 85 to 90 percent of Kontron's products can avoid U.S. import duties due to its international production structure.

Kontron's CEO, Hannes Niederhauser, highlighted that the tariff exemption strengthens the company's competitiveness. The U.S. market, offering substantial growth potential, is a strategic priority for Kontron. By eliminating customs costs, Kontron can offer lower transport costs and shorter delivery times, enhancing efficiency and improving its carbon footprint.
