KPS Capital Partners to Acquire Majority Stake in Ketjen from Albemarle
KPS Capital Partners, LP has announced an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Ketjen Corporation's refining catalyst solutions business from Albemarle Corporation. Upon completion, KPS will hold 51% of Ketjen, with Albemarle retaining 49%. The transaction is set to close in the first quarter of 2026, pending customary approvals.
Ketjen specializes in manufacturing advanced catalysts and additives used in refining various feedstocks into fuels and chemicals. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Ketjen operates across the Americas, Europe, and Asia with approximately 840 employees.
