NAGRAVISION and MediaTek Enhance Content Security for Connected TVs

NAGRAVISION, a division of Kudelski Group, has announced an extended partnership with semiconductor leader MediaTek. This collaboration aims to integrate NAGRAVISION's secure element into future MediaTek TV System-on-Chip (SoC) technology to improve content security on connected TVs. This move is designed to prepare for AI and quantum-era piracy threats.

The partnership allows operators to deploy services on retail-bought televisions, reducing service costs per household while ensuring premium content protection. As connected TVs become primary streaming devices, safeguarding them is crucial to maintaining trust in the content distribution chain. NAGRAVISION technology will enhance security against piracy and unauthorized redistribution across global TV manufacturers.
