Kyrgyzstan Launches Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory

The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has inaugurated the Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory (SFIT) on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. This new international jurisdiction attracted initial residents from South Korea, UAE, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Kazakhstan, with more companies in the pipeline. The SFIT offers a unique financial setup including 0% tax on profits for 49 years, 100% foreign ownership, and unrestricted profit repatriation.

Tamchy SFIT aims to cater to the demand for stable, innovation-driven business environments. Governed by English common law, it features an independent court system and an International Dispute Resolution Centre. The area spans approximately 6,000 hectares, hosting a fully operational business center, while additional infrastructure is under construction.

By 2035, the SFIT plans to accommodate 4,000 companies, generating over 10,000 jobs and contributing an estimated $20 billion to Kyrgyzstan's economy. This initiative positions the region as a strategic hub for international business growth and sustainable investment.
