Lenzing AG Approves Capital Increase for Strategic Realignment
Lenzing AG has approved a capital increase of approximately EUR 300 million to strengthen its financial structure and support its "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" strategy, as announced during its Extraordinary General Meeting on August 25, 2026. This move aims to enhance Lenzing's equity base, improving financial stability and flexibility for strategic initiatives.
Shareholders, including major backers such as the B&C Group and Suzano, have shown strong support for this financial measure. The capital increase is set to be completed by February 2027. The specific terms, including the issue price, are pending approval by the Management and Supervisory Boards.
Additionally, Martin Seiter, MBA, has been elected to the Supervisory Board, following the resignation of Dr. Franz Gasselsberger. The Board now maintains ten members elected by the General Meeting, and five members delegated by the Works Council, with Patrick Lackenbucher as Chairman.
