Lenzing AG Reports Improved Half-Year Results Amid Strategic Shift
Lenzing AG reported a significant improvement in its half-year results for 2026 despite challenging market conditions. The company's net result after tax more than doubled to EUR 35.6 million, compared to EUR 15.2 million in 2025. Free cash flow also improved to EUR 45.8 million. The increase in profitability is attributed to a focus on higher-margin products, cost reductions, and strategic sales measures.
Lenzing's revenue totaled EUR 1.27 billion, slightly down from EUR 1.34 billion the previous year, as the company prioritized profitability over volume growth, reducing low-margin fiber operations. The EBITDA reached EUR 239.2 million with an EBIT of EUR 83.7 million.
The company continues to realign its strategy with the "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" initiative, emphasizing nonwovens and premium textile segments. Newly appointed CEO Georg Kasperkovitz, along with the management board, will drive these strategic transformations to strengthen Lenzing's market position. The group aims to capitalize on a shift towards specialty fibers and next-gen solutions.
