Lindian Resources Forms Strategic Partnership with Carester

Lindian Resources Limited, based in Perth, has established a strategic partnership with Carester SAS for developing an Oxide Separation Facility. This agreement includes a Technology and Engineering Services Agreement and a long-term Offtake Agreement for up to 20 years. Located in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan, the new facility is designed to produce 8,000 tonnes per annum of rare earth oxides, aiming for completion by Q4 2026.

The collaboration extends to a joint venture at the Caremag Refinery in France, with involvement from the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security and Iwatani Corporation. This refinery benefits from significant French and Japanese government funding. Lindian will supply heavy rare earths from its Kazakhstan facility to this refinery, supporting the production of magnet-quality NdPr oxide.

The project aligns with Kazakhstan's ambition to strengthen its position in the global rare earth supply chain, backed by the Ministry of Industry and Construction. Existing infrastructure at Stepnogorsk provides a cost-effective base for this development. Moreover, Lindian's internal funds will finance the project, leveraging existing operations and cash reserves.
