Lindian Resources Secures Full Ownership of SARECO Facility

Lindian Resources Limited has acquired the remaining 49% interest in the SARECO Mixed Rare Earths Carbonate (MREC) hydrometallurgical processing facility in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. This strategic acquisition increases Lindian’s ownership to 100%, following comprehensive due diligence. Previously, the facility was operated by Sumitomo Corporation and Kazatomprom and stands as the only commercial-scale operational MREC facility outside China, MP Materials, Serra Verde, and Lynas Rare Earths.

The acquisition, valued at USD 20 million, provides Lindian with total operational control over the higher-value MREC product, enhancing free cash flows and future growth opportunities. The facility offers substantial expansion capacity, including two additional warehouses and further land. Lindian, fully funded through recent capital raising, targets the commencement of MREC processing in Q4 2026, aligning with the Kangankunde Rare Earths Project.
