LION E-Mobility and Castrol Collaborate on Innovative Battery Cooling
LION E-Mobility AG has announced a partnership with Castrol to develop an advanced battery module aimed at enhancing electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). This initiative integrates LION Smart’s direct battery-cooling technology with Castrol’s thermal management fluids.
The collaboration seeks to improve battery thermal management, supporting swift charging and discharging capabilities. The use of Castrol ON EV Thermal Fluids will enable effective heat dissipation and increase battery longevity and safety.
This modular battery design allows for uniform temperature distribution and maximizes effective cooling. Innovations like the ‘single cell fuse’ enhance safety by minimizing risks from internal short circuits. Through this, the partnership aims to optimize EV performance, emphasizing efficiency and safety over traditional methods.
