LION Smart Delivers Battery Storage for Renoc's Project in Finsterwalde

On May 27, 2026, LION Smart Production GmbH, a subsidiary of LION E-Mobility AG, reported significant progress in its energy storage initiatives. The company has successfully delivered and installed the first Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers at a large-scale project led by Renoc GmbH in Finsterwalde. The facility, which kicked off its grid connection activities, highlights the collaboration with Renoc, a leading developer in renewable energy projects.

Upon completion of the project's first phase, the facility will offer a 5 MW power capacity and a 20 MWh storage capacity. The commissioning is expected in July 2026, subject to necessary approvals. The project anticipates further expansion in early 2027, increasing storage capacity to 40 MWh.
