Living For We Wins 2024 Webby's People’s Voice Award

Evergreen Podcasts, in collaboration with Ideastream Public Media, announced that Living for We secured the 2024 Webby's People's Voice Award in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Podcast category. This award highlights the podcast's role in addressing systemic issues affecting Black women in Cleveland, sparked by a 2020 study by cityLAB of Pittsburgh, which identified Cleveland as the least livable city for Black women.

The podcast is part of Ideastream's initiative, Connecting the Dots between Race and Health, which explores the impact of racism on health outcomes in Northeast Ohio. Living for We features engagements with significant figures and provides listeners with actionable insights to challenge systemic inequities. Contributors to the podcast include host Marlene Harris-Taylor and Creatice Director HeyFranHey, with research support from Bethany Studenic and Chinenye Nkemere of Enlightened Solutions.

The recognition by the Webby Awards, overseen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, conveys the vital explorations made by the podcast in diversity, equity, and inclusion themes. Evergreen Podcasts plans to continue this impactful collaboration with Ideastream in future seasons.
