LONGi Solar's BC Technology Surpasses Expectations in Field Tests

On December 2, 2025, LONGi Solar announced promising results from its global field tests for the Back Contact (BC) technology platform and Hi-MO9 module. In collaboration with global customers and third-party institutions, LONGi's data indicates the Hi-MO9 module surpasses expectations in performance and reliability.

Comparative studies show that LONGi's BC modules achieved a watt-for-watt power increase between 1.21% and 3.92% compared to mainstream TOPCon modules. A notable evaluation conducted in Seville, Spain, illustrated Hi-MO9 delivering 2.4% to 3.4% increased power generation, reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) by 3.92% and 4.47%.

Additional studies in France and Denmark corroborate these findings, highlighting Hi-MO9's consistent output. The Hi-MO9's integration of HPBC 2.0 technology minimizes hot spot temperatures, mitigating risks of overheating and bolstering safety over a 25-year period.
