LPKF Reports Challenging First Half of 2026
LPKF Laser & Electronics SE has released its half-year financial report for 2026, indicating a 38.3% revenue decline, mostly due to setbacks in the Solar segment. CEO Klaus Fiedler noted global crises impacted the company's core business. However, LPKF's LIDE technology showed promise in Advanced Packaging, with the potential market re-evaluated at EUR 1.7 billion by 2030.
The North Star transformation program, spearheaded by CFO Peter Mümmler, progresses with staff reductions and process improvements. Though faced with a weak first half, LPKF remains optimistic for the year's end, projecting EUR 105-120 million in revenue.
Challenges persist in the Solar and Welding segments, but the company expects growth in Advanced Packaging and semiconductors. LPKF aims for a double-digit EBIT margin by 2028, aligning its strategy with evolving technology needs, particularly in AI applications.
