Lumibird's Revenue Growth Driven by Photonics and Medical Segments

Lumibird, a leader in laser technologies, reported a solid performance with a revenue increase of 13.5% in its Photonics division over the first nine months of 2026. Overall, consolidated revenue for Lumibird rose by 8.8%, totaling €168.8 million. The Photonics division's success was majorly bolstered by strong performances in the Medtech applications and Defense & Space sectors. Meanwhile, the Medical division witnessed a 4.3% growth, especially strong in the third quarter, spurred by increased operations in the U.S. and Japan, and new product launches.

Growth in Photonics was particularly strong in the Americas, where revenue surged by 38.8%, while Asia-Pacific saw a 26.1% increase. However, sales declined in other regions, affected by logistical and geopolitical issues. Lumibird anticipates a record-breaking fourth quarter, backed by a robust order book and ongoing program ramp-ups.
