Joining Lumira in 2021, Dr. Rao was promoted to Senior Associate in 2024, evidencing her growing expertise in venture capital. Her extensive knowledge in oncology and neuroscience and her relationship-building skills have been pivotal for the firm.

Dr. Rao has actively contributed to investments in companies like Arclight Therapeutics and Damona Pharmaceuticals. She co-leads the Cancer Breakthrough Fund, a key initiative with the Terry Fox Foundation. Peter van der Velden, Managing General Partner, highlights her growth and dedication as exemplary.
