Rhovica Neuroimaging Secures CHF 2.3M to Advance SoNav™ Device

Rhovica Neuroimaging AG, a Swiss MedTech startup, has closed a CHF 2.3 million (EUR 2.5 million) financing round, led by M2care. This investment will boost the development of the SoNav™ bedside navigation system, designed for emergency neurosurgery. Notable participation in the financing came from Kickfund, Valuemaker, and several business angels.

SoNav™ aims to enhance the safety and speed of EVD catheter placement, crucial in alleviating increased intracranial pressure during emergencies. Traditionally done blindly, this procedure poses clinical risks. SoNav™ offers real-time visualization and navigation directly at the bedside, which addresses these challenges.

The appointment of Carsten Laue, Managing Director at M2care, to Rhovica's Board of Directors highlights strategic support in this developmental phase. The company stands positioned in a growing market, driven by the need for improved neurosurgical outcomes.
