Menarini Group Presents Promising Phase 3 SENTRY Trial Data
The Menarini Group unveiled new data at the 2026 European Hematology Association Congress from the Phase 3 SENTRY trial, focusing on the combination of selinexor and ruxolitinib in treating myelofibrosis. The trial met its first co-primary endpoint, showing a significant spleen volume reduction (SVR35) of 49.8% in the combination arm, compared to 28% in the control group at week 24. This suggests a potential overall survival benefit for patients.
The study assessed 353 patients and demonstrated that selinexor plus ruxolitinib achieved rapid and durable spleen reductions. Though the combination did not significantly improve the Absolute Total Symptom Score (Abs-TSS) compared to ruxolitinib alone, promising early overall survival signals were noted with a greater than 50% reduction in the risk of death. Furthermore, the safety profile was manageable with no new signals.
