Menarini Group Unveils ELEVATE Study Data at ASCO Meeting
At the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, Menarini Group presented new findings from its ELEVATE study. The study explores the combination of elacestrant and capivasertib in patients with ER+, HER2- metastatic breast cancer. Preliminary results are promising, indicating potential benefits to address resistance mechanisms such as ESR1 and PIK3CA mutations.
Safety and preliminary efficacy were highlighted, showing an 88.9% disease control rate and a 66.7% clinical benefit rate in the recommended phase 2 dose cohort. The combination demonstrated a median progression-free survival of 11.3 months. Updates also emphasized elacestrant's potential in various treatment settings, including as a monotherapy for early breast cancer.
These findings underscore Menarini's commitment to advancing treatment options for breast cancer patients. With ongoing research, the combination therapy of elacestrant and capivasertib demonstrates a promising future in oncology.
