AKWEL Reports 17.4% Revenue Decline Over Nine Months
AKWEL, a supplier of automotive and heavy truck components, reported a 17.4% decrease in revenue, totaling €603.4 million for the first nine months of 2026. This decline is compared with the same period in 2025.
In the third quarter alone, revenue dropped by 14.4% to €188.4 million. The decline was observed across various geographic production areas, with EMEA experiencing a dramatic 22.3% drop. Despite this, America's revenue fell by only 6.9%, while Asia saw a 12% decline.
The company's Products and Functions revenue also suffered a 17.7% fall, significantly impacted by the discontinuation of certain product lines. In contrast, the Tools business saw a 7.6% increase. Net cash stood at €98.4 million, reflecting a slight decrease from the previous quarter.
AKWEL maintains its outlook for a 12% to 15% decline in full-year revenue, dependent on the competitive landscape in the automotive sector.
