MHP Hotel AG Maintains Strong Position Despite Adjustments
MHP Hotel AG's latest financial report highlights its steady growth amidst operational challenges. The company's H1 sales rose 25% year-over-year to €99.3 million, driven by contributions from new hotels Conrad and Hyatt Vienna. This resulted in an organic growth rate of 3.8%, with an occupancy rate of 72.0% and an average daily rate (ADR) of €219.
Although the EBITDA decreased to €0.2 million from the previous year's €2.3 million, this decline is attributed to one-off costs associated with Conrad. Adjustments in guidance stem from slower than expected occupancy ramp-up at Conrad and a lower influx of Middle East travellers, affecting earnings.
Despite these factors, the company remains robust in the premium hotel segment, with plans to expand without impacting its balance sheet. The future earnings from an enlarged portfolio underpin the continued 'Buy' recommendation, albeit with a revised target price of €3.50.
