Michter's Distillery Unveils 2026 Legacy Series Whiskeys
Michter's Distillery, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is set to release two limited edition whiskeys this April: the 2026 Shenk's Homestead Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey and the 2026 Bomberger's Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon. These releases continue the Legacy Series, honoring the distillery's historical roots dating back to its founding by John Shenk in 1753.
The 2026 Shenk's features a rye-forward profile with caramel malted barley, offering caramel bread pudding notes balanced by spice. The whiskey benefits from unique cooperage using French and American oak. Meanwhile, Bomberger's brings a rich chocolate decadence through Chinquapin and Hungarian Oak.
Retailing at $110 for Shenk's Homestead and $120 for Bomberger's Declaration, these whiskeys present a sophisticated tasting journey. Michter's, recognized as The World's Most Admired Whiskey, remains dedicated to producing quality American whiskeys rooted in tradition.
