Midea Building Technologies Reveals Sustainable Innovations at MCE 2026
Midea Building Technologies (MBT) unveiled its latest sustainable solutions at MCE 2026 in Milan. Key innovations include the V9 VRF system, an R290 heat pump portfolio, and advanced data center cooling solutions. These products underscore MBT's commitment to eco-friendly refrigerants and energy efficiency.
The V9 VRF system features the ShieldBox II electric control box and uses R32 refrigerant. It boasts a 70% reduction in volume for enhanced efficiency and is certified for its safety standards in flammable refrigerant systems.
MBT's R290 heat pump portfolio offers capacities from 4kW to 70kW. The award-winning Mars Large R290 ATW Commercial Heat Pump can achieve water temperatures up to 85°C while maintaining high efficiency at low temperatures.
In data center cooling, MBT introduced solutions featuring precision cooling distribution units and magnetic bearing centrifugal chillers, achieving a PUE as low as 1.2. These innovations align with Europe's green transition efforts.
