Mister Spex Introduces Subscription Model for Eyewear

Mister Spex, a leading optical retailer in Germany, has launched "Mister Spex Switch," a subscription-based service offering an innovative approach to eyewear. Available in all 65 stores, the service allows customers to rent prescription glasses and sunglasses for a monthly fee starting at €9. Customers have access to two to three eyewear models simultaneously and can exchange one pair after twelve months, enhancing both flexibility and variety.

The new model arrives amidst rising living costs, providing a cost-effective solution while ensuring quality. Mister Spex Switch is also a strategic move aimed at profitability and customer loyalty. During a six-week pilot phase, the average order value tripled compared to traditional purchases, showcasing potential financial benefits for the company.

Subscribers gain a comprehensive service package including insurance against damage, theft, and loss, and free lens replacement for vision changes. The subscription model, offering access to over 12,000 products, aims to capture a broader customer base by making premium products more accessible.
