Akash Systems Unveils Diamond-Cooled AI Servers with AMD GPUs

Akash Systems, supported by Khosla Ventures and Founders Fund, has introduced the first diamond-cooled AI servers utilizing AMD Instinct™ MI350X GPUs and manufactured by MiTAC Computing Technology Corp. This innovation in cooling technology enhances energy and capital efficiency by pairing existing air and liquid cooling systems with Diamond Cooling® technology.

The new servers promise substantial improvements, including a temperature reduction of up to 10°C for GPUs, significant gains in compute power, and up to 15% throughput improvement. These advancements can potentially provide up to $1 million in incremental value per server.

In collaboration with MiTAC, the servers, also featuring AMD EPYC™ CPUs and AMD Pensando™ AI NICs, aim to address the surging AI demand by offering enhanced compute density and energy efficiency in data centers worldwide.
