Green light for the Torfmatt project in Wangen-Brüttisellen

Mobimo Holding AG's Torfmatt project has reached a crucial milestone. The Wangen-Brüttisellen municipal assembly approved the development plan almost unanimously on March 18, 2026. This mixed-use district will be built on the former ERNI site, between Brüttisellen and Dietlikon, in the canton of Zurich. This 16,000 m² area, currently mostly brownfield, will be transformed into a vibrant neighborhood with approximately 300 apartments and 5,000 m² of retail space.

Designed by KCAP and Studio Vulkan, the project comprises eight buildings with distinctive roofs and a central green space. Its construction will take place in three phases, with the first phase beginning in the fall of 2028 and ending in the spring of 2031.
