Moldova's Agri-Food Exports to Germany See Growth and Opportunity
Germany continues to be a key market for Moldova's agri-food exports, showcasing stability and demand in this sector. accounting for about 10% of Moldova's total agri-food exports this year. Moldovan agri-food exports to Germany benefit from strategic institutional support and targeted assistance aimed at enhancing competitiveness. In the first nine months of 2025, the EU absorbed 68% of Moldova's exports, highlighting Germany's role as a strategic partner.
Oilseeds and oleaginous fruits stand out as the fastest-growing segment, marking a significant growth in exports. Moldova's exports of sunflower seeds and walnuts to Germany have shown strong compliance with EU standards, securing a stable demand. Additionally, fruits and vegetables have seen a growth from 10% to 20% in exports to Germany between 2024 and 2025.
There is a clear trend towards diversifying perspectives with growth in other European markets.
