Munich Re Reports Robust Q3 Profit and Raises Annual Guidance
Munich Re has announced a preliminary net profit of approximately €1.7 billion for the third quarter of 2026. This result not only underscores the group's strong financial performance but also surpasses the analysts' consensus estimate of €1.479 billion. Contributing to this robust outcome were solid operations across all business sectors, fewer than expected major losses in P&C reinsurance, and significant investment gains in reinsurance.
Based on these results, Munich Re plans to continue fortifying its balance sheet through the end of the year. The company's net result for the first nine months of 2026 stands at €5.7 billion, prompting Munich Re to revise its 2026 net profit guidance upwards, from €6.3 billion to €6.6 billion. The final Q3 results are scheduled for release on November 12, 2026.
