Mutares Sells Clecim to Fouré Lagadec of SNEF Group

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has finalized the sale of Clecim to Fouré Lagadec, a part of the SNEF Group. The deal yielded a return on invested capital (ROIC) of over 10 times, highlighting the success of Mutares' transformation efforts post-carve-out.

Clecim, with a history spanning over a century, specializes in high-end carbon and stainless-steel processing lines and generates approximately EUR 55 million in revenue. The company has a workforce of around 200 employees globally.

Since separating from Primetals Technologies in 2021, Clecim has undergone a significant optimization process, focusing on key projects and product quality. It also broadened its market reach into the defense and energy sectors. Fouré Lagadec aims to expand on Clecim's initiatives, seeking synergies and international growth.
