NAGRAVISION and Harmonic have extended their partnership with the launch of a scalable, watermarking-as-a-service solution tailored for live events. This collaborative effort reduces costs and operational complexities for providers of live sports streaming services while safeguarding valuable content against piracy risks.

Launched on April 16, 2026, the solution integrates Harmonic’s VOS 360 Media with NAGRAVISION’s NexGuard forensic watermarking. This service enables event-focused streaming platforms to implement real-time A/B watermarking, a requirement increasingly set by content rights holders, with minimized operational strain.

By leveraging a fully managed SaaS model, the service offers cost-efficient deployment, handling orchestration and scalability issues. As demand for streaming grows, it provides a practical answer to piracy challenges, offering a crucial security model lauded by industry executives.
