Nebius Expands into Asia-Pacific to Boost Global Presence
Nebius, a prominent AI cloud company listed on NASDAQ, has announced a significant expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. This move aims to leverage the region's growth potential amid a surge in global demand for AI infrastructure. John Haarer, appointed as General Manager for Asia-Pacific and Japan, will spearhead this expansion from Singapore.
The company experienced a 479% revenue growth in 2025 and secured contracts with numerous customers, from AI natives to large enterprises. Haarer's appointment signals a shift from initial market entry to full-scale commercial expansion in Asia-Pacific.
With a $3.7 billion cash reserve, Nebius targets an annualized revenue run-rate of $7 billion to $9 billion by the end of 2026. Haarer's decade-long experience in the technology sector, particularly with companies like Cloudflare and Twilio, is expected to accelerate Nebius's commercial growth across key Asian markets.
